Mold is a living organism by-product of standing water or excessive moisture interacting with just about any surface. While there are approximately 3,000 types of mold, only a few of them are dangerous to us.

Mold is most often detected by both its noxious smell and it comes in all shapes and sizes. Outbreaks of mold, less than 10 square feet, can be handled by applying a detergent like dawn with bleach applied with a medium bristle brush and plenty of rubbing. Make sure to wear a breathing mask and rubber gloves while doing this work.
